Why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu....?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is proven to contain the most effective self-defense techniques in the world. No other martial art provides the level of skill, training, and knowledge necessary to immobilize an opponent of any size and shape. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uses proper positioning, leverage, and technique to allow a variety of chokes, joint locks, or even strikes to submit your opponent-Not size and strength!

Since most real fights end up on the ground, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's primary focus is how to properly take the fight to the ground using simple takedown techniques, controlling and neutralizing your opponents aggressiveness, then manipulating him into a vulnerable position for a finishing technique-or, how to protect yourself if you find yourself on the ground in a self-defense situation. It is these same characteristics that make Brazilian Jiu Jitsu the perfect martial arts for women!

It is because of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's unmatched success in events such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and countless of other No-Hold-Barred (NHB) events across the world, that many law enforcement agencies and military branches have adopted it as the form of hand-to-hand combat they teach their forces. More so, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies, associations, and clubs are cropping up all over the country.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu’s claims are REAL, and at Warrior Way we will teach the same techniques that have been taught in Brazil for over 80 years, and first brought to America over a decade ago. We will provide you with a professional, high-quality training environment that will help you reach your goals.

Caique Jiu-Jitsu Intro. Video

Caique (Black Belt Instructor):

Now the head of a large team and the owner of a very successful Southern Californian academy, Carlos Henrique R. Elias, aka "Caique" (kai-EE-key), has been involved with the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu for nearly 30 years. Caique learned jiu-jitsu at the Gracie Academy, under his close friends Relson and Rickson Gracie, and their father Helio Gracie.

Holding 7th degree Red and Black Master and certified by the Confederation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Caique has established himself as a legend in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Featured in Grappling Magazine (April, 2002), Caique was one of the top black belt competitors in his prime. Grandmaster Helio Gracie wrote and signed a document stating that Caique is one of the best sources of jiu-jitsu in the world, while Saulo Ribeiro, jiu-jitsu's only 6-time World Champion and 3-Time Submission Wrestling World Championship medalist, has proudly stated that he models his jiu-jitsu on that of Caique.

As a teacher, Caique's resume is no less impressive. He taught for many years in Brazil for the Gracie family, until he moved to Los Angeles to teach at the Gracie Academy in the middle 1990's. He taught there as the head instructor until he formed his own association in 2001. Since then, Team Caique Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has become one of the country's top organizations, making strong appearances in all competitions it enters. Caique is well known for his sincere love of teaching, and his extreme dedication to his students' progress.

Caique makes appearances at Warrior Way approximately every three months to not only teach, but to make sure all his students are being taught with the highest standards. He also tests and promotes his students at these classes.
