Warrior Way was saddened to learn of the passing of Grandmaster Helio Gracie early on January 29, 2009. Helio Gracie and his brother, Carlos, are responsible for creating the system of Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that has changed the martial arts world forever. More notably, Helio and his son Rorion Gracie are responsible for bringing the concept of No Rules Fighting to America in the early 1990s. Many of us owe a great deal to Helio Gracie for giving us all the beautiful gift of Jiu Jitsu. Beyond a system of self-defense, Gracie Jiu Jitsu has given many of us at Warrior Way a way to better our lives. While in Brazil, Caique trained, taught and fought for Helio Gracie and still held the Grandmaster in high regards years later. Though many of our students may not have had the opportunity to meet or train with Helio Gracie, we ask that you take a moment to reflect on the life of a true warrior. Fighting for the honor of his family and belief in his style of martial arts, Helio Gracie stood up to any challenge and lived his life to its fullest, doing what he loved until his last day.

Royler Gracie Gives First Seminar Ever in Michigan.
Royler Gracie recently traded in the sun and surf of sunny San Diego for the snow and cold of Michigan.
Caique sent his good friend Royler to Warrior Way (www.warriorway.com), which is Caiques largest training association in the country. Warrior Way
was excited to host Royler for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Royler impressed the crowd of 60+ and with a three-hour seminar and even gave time for the students to ask
questions on any position they wanted. Many took him up on the offer and the opportunity to learn from the master himself.
Congratulations to all the competitors that represented Warrior Way at the Michigan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships.

At the fights last night, August 15th, 2008; Warrior Way had 100% success rate. Fighters, Rob Carron and Corey O'Dell both won their Muay Thai fights.
Rob Carron was first up and in his debut fight, his training paid off. In the first round, after taking an over hand right to the nose, he gathered his
composure and delivered numerous leg kicks to his opponent. After taking the first round, while in his corner - he received some sound advice from his trainer
Matee Jedeepitak. Rob came out in the second and used that advice to his advantage. Landing more low to high combinations, his opponent had no answer. When
his opponent went to throw a kick, his knee gave out. Injury forced Rob's opponent out of the match and gave Rob the decisive victory.
Corey also tasted success in his Thai Boxing match. Looking to mix it up, Corey grinded out the 3 round unanimous decision victory.
Don't forget to congratulate Rob and Corey on their victories!
