Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear

Warrior Way is pleased to announce an addition to our already impressive list of instructors. Doug Bercume has joined Warrior Way's team as Director of Strength and Conditioning for our professional fighters and competition team. The good news is now you don't have to be a professional athlete to get into shape like one. Doug is now offering private training sessions to help you get into the best shape of your life.

Doug currently teaches Human Performance Enhancement in the Health Sciences Graduate School at Oakland University and has worked with police, FBI, U.S. Navy SEALS and Israeli Commandos. Besides law enforcement agencies, Doug has worked with NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA and various college athletes. Since 1998 Doug has trained combat athletes in the areas of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Doug has trained UFC, PRIDE Fighting Championship, and King of the Cage fighters.

Here is what some of our athletes are saying about Doug's program:

"With Doug's help, I was able to get into the best shape of my life. I feel stronger and faster than I did when I started competing and fighting over ten years ago! Doug will completely change your idea of what being "strong" means. The workouts are fast paced and get you stronger each time you work out. I no longer have to spend hours wasted in the gym doing exercises that do not fit my competitive and personal goals."
- Angelo Popofski
Warrior Way BJJ Black Belt
Professional MMA Athlete

"At 53, and after years of playing football, and competing in the martial arts, I have a number of injuries that make lifting weights nearly impossible. Doug is able to work around my injuries and create workouts that allow me to rehabilitate previous injuries while strengthening my body."
- Harvy Berman
Professor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Owner of Warrior Way

For years people have thought that getting strong meant you had to live in the gym and be able to lift a large amount of weight. However, Doug Bercume has spent years researching the human body and physical fitness. Now Doug brings his ground breaking training techniques to Warrior Way. Doug's approach to strength training is like nothing you've seen before and you are guaranteed to get into the best shape of your life.

Doug's training style and strategies have been successfully implemented for a wide range of clientele: youth, rehabilitation, elderly, fitness enthusiasts, and elite athletes. His training philosophy for training combat athletes was published in a book by St. Martin's Griffin titled Advanced Krav Maga.
